Jubilee Academies pioneer a transformative educational model that combines rigorous academic acceleration with deep character formation. By integrating Unhu/Ubuntu philosophy—the African principle that "I am because we are"—we create learning environments where academic excellence and moral development flourish together.
Our flagship institution, Victory Life School, demonstrates how this model can transform educational outcomes while nurturing the whole child.
Our quality kitemark represents a commitment to excellence that goes beyond traditional academic metrics. Schools earning the Jubilee Academies Kitemark demonstrate:
Proven accelerated learning outcomes with students progressing at 1.5x standard pace while maintaining or improving comprehension and retention.
Measurable growth in Ubuntu values including compassion, integrity, responsibility, and community engagement through daily practice and reflection.
Active engagement with surrounding communities, with students applying learning to address real community needs and challenges.
Financial sustainability, effective governance, and continuous improvement systems ensuring long-term impact and growth.
"The transformation we've seen at Victory Life School is remarkable. Children who struggled in traditional settings are now thriving academically and growing into compassionate young leaders."

Building sustainable, resilient people through Ubuntu principles
U+ represents our comprehensive approach to personal and community development, recognizing that sustainable change requires addressing culture. Using Ubuntu or Unhu principles, U+ looks at ways we add value in our relationships and environments.
U+ works through processes that build on existing strengths while addressing key challenges. We don't impose solutions—we facilitate communities in discovering and implementing their own pathways.
We're currently working with several communities in rural Zimbabwe, each at different stages of the SIMBA journey. From initial assessment through implementation and evaluation, we provide ongoing partnership and support.
Case studies and detailed community stories will be added as projects develop and communities give permission to share their transformation journeys.
"SIMBA helped us see our community holistically. We realized that improving education alone wasn't enough—we needed to address livelihoods, governance, and values together. Now we're making progress on all fronts."
Support holistic community development that creates lasting change
Personal, group, and organizational development rooted in African values of humanity and interconnectedness
"I am because we are" —this profound African philosophy recognizes that our humanity is intrinsically linked to the humanity of others. Ubuntu (Zulu/Xhosa) and Unhu (Shona) represent a worldview where compassion, community, and mutual respect are foundational to all development.
The Unhu/Ubuntu Kitemark certifies individuals, groups, and organizations that embody these values in measurable, consistent ways.
U+ is our systematic approach to developing Ubuntu values across three levels:
Understanding and responding to others' needs with genuine care, seeing their struggles as our own, and acting to alleviate suffering wherever we encounter it.
Living with consistency between values and actions, speaking truth with courage, and maintaining trustworthiness in all relationships and responsibilities.
Recognizing our interdependence, contributing to collective wellbeing, and ensuring that everyone has a place where they belong and can contribute.
Honoring the inherent worth of every person, treating all with dignity regardless of status or difference, and fostering environments of mutual respect.
Organizations and schools seeking the Unhu/Ubuntu Kitemark undergo a comprehensive assessment process evaluating values integration across operations, culture, and impact:
"Implementing U+ transformed our organization. It wasn't just about adding programs—it fundamentally changed how we relate to each other and our community. The Ubuntu values became our lived reality, not just aspirations."

Sustainable funding through community engagement—turning generosity into educational opportunities
Revival Charity Shop is our social enterprise generating sustainable funding for LEARN Association's work while serving as a vibrant community hub in Northern Ireland. Every purchase supports education, sponsorships, and development projects in Zimbabwe.
But Revival is more than a funding mechanism—it's a place where community happens, where volunteers find purpose, and where the values of generosity and sustainability come alive.
Revival demonstrates how local action can fuel global impact. The circular economy model—receive donations, sell quality items, generate revenue, fund education—creates a virtuous cycle of generosity and transformation.
Our shop also provides valuable work experience and skill development opportunities for volunteers, many of whom have gone on to employment or further education as a result of their Revival experience.
"Volunteering at Revival has been incredibly rewarding. I'm not just helping run a shop—I'm directly contributing to children's education in Zimbabwe. That connection between my time here and their futures there is powerful."
Shop, donate, or volunteer—every action makes a difference
Direct support for vulnerable children—providing education, healthcare, and hope for a brighter future
Our Child Sponsorship Programme provides comprehensive support to vulnerable children in Zimbabwe who would otherwise have no access to education. Sponsorship covers school fees, uniforms, books, healthcare, and nutritional support—everything a child needs to thrive.
But sponsorship is about more than meeting material needs. It's about telling a child they matter, that their future is worth investing in, and that they have supporters who believe in their potential.
Our sponsorship model emphasizes relationship and connection. Sponsors receive regular updates, photos, and school reports. Many sponsors exchange letters with their sponsored children, creating meaningful cross-cultural relationships that enrich both parties.
We've seen how these relationships inspire children to excel academically and dream bigger about their futures. Knowing someone cares enough to invest in them provides not just financial support but emotional and psychological encouragement that fuels perseverance through challenges.
Space for compelling stories of sponsored children who have thrived, completed education, and gone on to make their own contributions to community development. These stories will demonstrate the long-term impact of sponsorship and inspire continued support.
Stories will include:
"Sponsoring Tendai has been one of the most meaningful things I've ever done. Watching her progress from struggling to read to becoming top of her class has been incredible. Her letters are treasures, and knowing I've played a small part in her education brings such joy."

Cost-effective, scalable educational solutions addressing unique challenges in resource-limited settings
Resource constraints often inspire the most creative solutions. Our innovation work focuses on developing learning interventions that are:
We follow a rigorous process from idea to implementation:
One of our most successful innovations has been Solar Learning Hubs—small solar-powered centers equipped with digital devices containing offline educational content. These hubs provide after-school learning opportunities in communities where electricity is unreliable or unavailable.
Each hub serves 50-100 students and includes tablets with curriculum-aligned content, educational videos, interactive exercises, and assessment tools. Solar panels keep devices charged, and robust equipment selection ensures longevity despite harsh conditions.
Initial pilot results show 40% improvement in key subject areas among regular users, with particularly strong gains in science and English where visual and interactive content provides significant advantages over textbook-only instruction.
"The Solar Learning Hub has revolutionized our community. Children who never had access to computers are now confidently using technology to accelerate their learning. Parents are amazed at what their children are achieving."
Help us develop and scale breakthrough learning solutions
Measured results across education, community development, and cross-cultural connection
Years of demonstrated impact with measurable outcomes and transparent reporting on every project and initiative.
We address root causes, not just symptoms, through integrated programs that build sustainable capacity.
All work is done in genuine partnership with local communities, schools, and leaders who drive their own development.
We constantly seek better ways to achieve impact, testing and refining approaches based on evidence and feedback.
